Our last few days

Sorry for the lag folks but we're on vacation! We spent our last few days relaxing on the beach and visiting Antigua, Guatemala. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what we did.

El Tunco beach is supposedly one of the best surfing spots in the entire world and the last day we went, the waves were re-donk-olous.

Antigua, Guatemala was probably the coolest town we visited as far as architecture goes but it was a little too touristy but fun none the less.

Apaneca (Day Nueve)

Today was an eventful day, we saved a mans life(true story), went on a canopy tour and visited the waterfalls in Juayua.

View from the canopy tour
Zip lining-
It started raining while we were up there, which meant that our hand brakes didn't work properly, which also meant that a lightweight American almost died a few times.

Mala Suerte (Day Ocho)

Today we tried to do a few different things and none of it panned out. First we went to hike a volcano but we weren't allowed to. We then went to a lake but it was filled with trash and all the good beaches were on private land. We then went to Santa Ana and that place was not what I remembered it as and we quickly left. We thought it would be a good idea to explore San Salvador but after a while all the "Centro's" look the same so we decided to head back home a little early.

La Playa (Day Seis)

Today we went to the playa with some Salvadoran friends. Today was a good day but Lucas wasn't able to surf which ensures another trip or two back to the beach.

Ecoparque San Salvador (Day Cinco)

Today we went to the Ecoparque in San Salvador, we were literally the only ones there aside from the staff. Fue chivo!

Decamerones y Sonsonate (Day quatro)

Yesterday we went to a Beach resort near Sonsonate, we entered the resort thinking if we bought enough food there they would let us swim in the ocean and use their pool for free, unfortunately we were wrong and after a quick swim we were promptly escorted off the premises.

This is the resort "Decamerones"

After getting kicked out of Decamerones we decided to visit the town of Sonsonate, we walked around for a while and checked out the market and saw a naked man.... I don't recommend going here, it was hot and especially smelly.

On our way home we saw some people protesting on the highway, if you want to be heard in El Salvador cause a traffic jam
